ADDRESS PRESENTED BY MRS. FOLUSHO ADEKUNLE ON THE OCCASION OF CRESTVIEW INTERNATIONAL SCHOOL 10TH YEAR ANNIVERSARY

It is my pleasure, Folusho Adekunle (Mrs) to address you parents and scholars of Crestview International School on her 10th year Anniversary. It is perhaps a season of blessings unto us amidst the ravaging pandemic. It is quite unfortunate that we could not come together as planned to celebrate a Decade of existence due to Covid-19.
Crestview International School was officially opened for learning on 2nd of August, 2010 with “Summer School, just two days after, it was dedicated with thirty-five (35) pupils and seven educators, while the number sky rocket to 65pupils thereafter. The Chinese Bamboo Tree is a perfect parable to our experience with personal growth and change.
Having birthed a citadel of learning for the past ten years and counting, we have toiled the grounds of hard work, watered these grounds with persistence, selflessness and faith, fertilizing the grounds without giving up, patiently waiting to breakthrough and blossom.
This is a year of celebration for Crestview International School! We are marking the 10th anniversary of a reputable institution with set goals and objectives guiding her; we have over the last 10years focused on attaining excellence and can boldly say that we have paid our dues in sustaining a high and solid standard. This achievement in every sense of it is considered as “Golden” to us.
Crestview has since built an enduring legacy to become one of the top leading International school among others today. Of particular importance is the recognition of the support and constructive advices of our distinguished stakeholders (Parents) over the years.
We have been able to strive towards the path of excellence by giving every moment of our process of achievements a 100%, our end result is a justification. Overtime, we have become successful in our field despite some of our initial challenges; we have become a pacesetter for others to follow.
We have and will continue to empower our pupils in Crestview International School with all they need to be the great leaders and successful guru in their choice of endeavor. Without missing words, they have emulated and portray these excellence skills through numerous academic awards achieved thus far.
While we are honouring the past year, we are also looking into the future. We take time out at recounting our delightful achievements all of which would have been impossible without hard-work, commitment, persistence and dedication, which are ingredient for excellence.
The management, our leadership team, our inestimable educators have together taken small steps towards achieving success and together they added up to hundreds of thousands small steps. There were obstacles along the way but with each of our small steps, we OVERCAME; there were frustrations, fears and uncertainties but with each of our small steps, the challenges were CRUSHED; there was hardship and danger, but with each small step and FOCUS on our vision, they were CONQUERED.
Success is no mystery, it only takes one small step to succeed. Even the Chinese Philosopher once said “ A journey of a thousand miles must begin with a step. “ We will therefore continue with our distinctive mode of excellence to propel the advancement of the education in Nigeria and beyond.
“ The price of success is hard work, dedication to job at hand and the determination that whether we win or lose, we have applied the best of ourselves to the task at hand” – Vince Lombabardi.
We are proud to say it loud and clear for everyone who cares to listen that we are leaving indelible footprints behind; these we have captured in our achievements in academics and other extra-curricular activities which agrees with the fact that education paradigm in the 21st century has moved away from educator-centred instruction to pupil-centred learning.
In context of our celebration, I am pleased to also announce to you, the new egg hatched by crestview international school. Join me as I welcome “Crestview college”, which came on board 9th of September, 2019. We kickoff the college with British integrated curriculum, certified educators and instructional installed projectors in our classrooms to aid learning in this 21st century.
Also, I wish to appreciate my husband, our Director for His support for seeing good dream of this great citadel in me and encouraging the dream to become what everyone can see today. I also want to say a big thank you to him for his concern for the future of our scholars who are growing and flying higher in becoming great leaders of tomorrow in politics, economy and academics towards making our nation great.
Finally, I will like to appreciate you our dear and wonderful parents/guardians for believing in Crestview International School vision which promotes high quality teaching and learning experience which enables all pupils to maximize their full potentials; we are a team ready to provide the utmost in educational services.
And to our amiable educators, some of whom started with us right from inception and others who joined thereafter, your creativity and dynamism has not gone unnoticed. You have empowered and engaged our parents/guardians with improved flow of information on school performance and have developed strong interactive partnership.
Thanks.
Folusho Adekunle (Mrs)
